I have to say that it's obvious why Reed Walters is D.A but nonetheless the Jena 6 shouldn't be charged with attempted MURDER... I believe the school is biased and the punishment for the white boys in the noose hanging was much too lenient. I still stand by that fact that the white populace of Jena is racist or just plain ignorant of equality among races.
So, Benny, how do we move people forward? How do we affect change of heart? How can we all become aware of our own "baggage" in order to act in the world more equitably and with compassion?
Change will always take time and it's apparent that either the education system is poor in the area of social justice. Change starts not from all these social organizations but from a new generation that has fresher minds and less biases. The schools are where (I believe) change begins.
Benny, you have a great deal of wisdom......
